Hand-carved Polychrome Vintage Wooden Kachina Doll nautical tool 5% voted in favor ofI am pretty certain this sweet, smiling guy is a Native American Pueblo kachina doll from the Southwest US, made in the 1940s or 50s for the tourist market I'd think. Kachinas dolls were traditionally made by Pueblo men, and used to teach children the identities of many various kachinas (spirits) observed by the people that Pueblo, with the identity of the particularly spirit described less through the form of the body but rather through the applied
