make a terrifically satisfying clap when struck--in addition to being wonderful objects that feel great in the hand
On the underside is a metal plate which allows it to stay upright on the water (and it does indeed float)

Old Hand Soldered Copper Lidded Case vintage age 11 3/4" in diameter xI don't know the origins of this one, crafted of copper with hand soldered seams, but it's clearly got age to it, and I think is quite beautiful. A trench art match safe, or case for a tool? Whatever the case, a singular thing, useful now for all sorts of things, flammable or not. I especially like the right angled incision in the copper that runs across one side, evincing a patch, though it does not seem to go all the way through. Nice weight, nice
