You need the spells you find to be powerful enough to justify the time and mana spent early on
An Aura put onto the battlefield this way doesnt target anything (so it could be attached to an opponents permanent with hexproof, for example), but the Auras enchant ability restricts what it can be attached to
Alternatively you can pack things like Progenitus that you have no hope of actually casting and this further reduces the consistency of your deck
Some of the stuff from the High Synergy cards on Grolnoks page would be here if not for Grolnok, and thats important to remember
The Alchemy version, Thayan Evokers, ditches most of this design altogether for something entirely different, though double team does a fine myriad impression
You obviously wont want to proliferate your own battles since you want to remove them as quickly as possible, but you can always proliferate your opponents battles to drag them out as much as possible
