Because in this game, advancing the plot too far causes you to permanently miss sidequests, great idea right
Like The Meathook Massacre, it's unsurprising that this one has found its way into Historic as well as Standard
War never changes, but Pack Wars is never the same twice - and thats what makes it such a good format
Not only does it reduce their costs, but it also lets you cast them (for their reduced cost!) from your graveyard for what amounts to a very cheap activation effect
