None of these should be a detractor for using the platform though

Though it is no longer the top choice for competitive decks, this commander still sees some high-level play thanks to his many abilities

Chances are this card just isn't quite powerful enough of a creature to make waves in Constructed, but it's still one of the best blitz cards printed in the set

While most precons will have the face commander as the obvious choice of the deck and the other one a better option if you take the precon in a different direction, in this case both cards are supporting the exact same Convoke strategy so you actually have to choose between the two
